Happy father's day

Father's day is an important day world wide. It is a fine opportunity to honor the dads or Fathers of the world.

On  Father's day,  we got up early.  It  was a beautiful day.  We went to Oatley  Park. This park was very big. The weather wasn't too hot or too cold. When we sat on the wooden  chair. We saw the people swimming  in the river. There were  many boats  in Georges  river. The sun was very warm and there was sunshine. A lot birds were singing  songs  and flew in  the sky. It was  a  very beautiful place.

When we went to home, I cooked their  dad's  favourite food for dinner. It was B.B.Q duck, steamed  whole fish with ginger shallots, stir fried king prawn in garlic sauce. We cheered with  a glass red wine and wished for good things for all dads.
My sons made a card and wrapped  chocolate for their Dad. They expressed best wishes and gratitude to him. They love their Dad because he always works hard and is good with cooking.

Some things about plastic bags

Did you know Australians use around four billion plastic check-out bags a year?
  • Globally hundreds of billions are used!
  • Only a small number are recycled. That's maybe a big menace to the environment.

What's so good about them?
  • You can use them to carry food.
  • You can put your rubbish in them.
  • You can use them to store food.
  • You can use them in your garbage/rubbish bin.
  • You can reuse them at the shops.

But what's so bad about them?
  • Well during the process harmful greenhouse gases are emitted.
  • Plastic bags cling to trees, drift along footpaths and marine animals die when caught up in them in the ocean .For example, in 2000, a whale died on a beach in Queensland and 6metres of plastic was found in its tummy.
